SUMMARY:GHG Accounting Roundtable Discussion
DESCRIPTION:Join SBR for an exclusive event focused on understanding and calculating your business's greenhouse gas inventory. Conducting your organization’s greenhouse gas accounting encompasses the total emissions\, both direct and indirect\, caused by a person\, organization\, event\, or product. Organizations cannot mitigate what they don’t measure\, and in light of New York's CLCPA mandate\, requiring a 40% reduction in economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and the increasing number of regulatory reporting frameworks\, it's crucial for businesses to stay up to date.  \nThis members-only event provides a unique opportunity to delve into the challenges and solutions associated with measuring and mitigating your greenhouse gas inventory. We aim to facilitate an open dialogue where members can share their experiences\, learn from one another\, and collectively work towards sustainable practices. Attendance will be capped at 12 attendees\, so make sure to secure your spot! \nGuiding our discussion will be Derek Nichols\, the Associate Director for Sustainability at the University at Buffalo. \nWhen: Thursday\, February 29th\, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm. \nWhere: Duende at Silo City \nCost: FREE for Members\, Member only event. \nAttention Employees of Member Businesses: SBR is transitioning to a new event registration system. Create a profile that will link you with your organization and simplify future event registration.
