2025 Summit Workshops

You asked for more opportunities to learn and take a deeper dive into key topics, and we listened. This year, we’re introducing optional pre-summit workshops to kick off your Summit experience. Running from 9:00–11:00 AM, these sessions offer a focused look at sustainability and leadership before the main program begins. Choose from two workshop options and take your Summit experience even further. Tickets are $40 for members and $50 for non-members.

From Data to Decisions: Using Open-Source Tools to Navigate Climate Risk

Your company’s long-term resilience depends on its ability to navigate a changing climate. But where do you even begin? In this hands-on workshop, we’ll equip you with the knowledge and tools to move from concern to action. You’ll learn to differentiate between climate risks and use the powerful Probable Futures mapping tool to uncover hidden vulnerabilities in your operations and value chain. Get ready to build a compelling business case for climate action that your leadership will understand and support.

Attendees will leave the workshop with the ability to:

  • Screen for Risk: Utilize a powerful, open-source tool (Probable Futures) to conduct a preliminary physical climate risk assessment for their own business and supply chain.
  • Make the Business Case: Understand and articulate how physical climate risks directly impact business strategy, operations, and financial performance.

Lateral Influence: Tools for Strategic Change without Authority

Sustainability and ESG professionals are often tasked with leading ambitious change without direct authority. Success depends not on hierarchy, but on lateral influence—the ability to move peers, partners, and departments toward a shared vision. In this hands-on session, participants will explore coaching-based tools to strengthen their lateral leadership skills, build strategic alliances, and navigate resistance with empathy and clarity.

Drawing on real-world examples and coaching psychology, the session will help participants shift from “convincing others” to co-creating momentum across their organization.

Participants will:

  • Identify common barriers to lateral influence in complex organizations
  • Learn 3 coaching strategies to deepen trust, alignment, and ownership across teams
  • Reflect on power dynamics and emotional intelligence in peer-level influence
  • Leave with a plan to strengthen one strategic relationship in their ecosystem
