Join WNYSBR, Erie County and Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper for this Environmental History Boat Tour on the Buffalo River. We have chartered River Queen to take us on a tour on the river that caught fire in 1968 and was labeled biologically dead by the Environmental Protection Agency.
You will learn how a Rust Belt city can transform its waterways from polluted industrial resources to fishable, swimmable, kayakable lifestyle amenities. Our speakers from Erie County and Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper will present the challenges of the past, present and future for the river, and how your business can get involved and contribute to positive change!
