In response to climate change, businesses are actively seeking solutions not only to decrease their carbon footprint but also to integrate resilience into their operations. Battery storage has become a key strategy for increasing renewable energy adoption and improving electrical infrastructure. Join us on February 27th to explore a local example of battery storage utilization at the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
First, attendees will hear from Evan van Hook, Chief Sustainability Officer at Viridi, a partner in Hauptman-Woodward’s energy project. The discussion will explore the role of battery energy storage in supporting energy demands and increasing resilience across various applications. Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Hauptman-Woodward’s Cryo-EM Center and gain firsthand insights into the organization’s innovative project. This collaboration with Viridi Parente has enabled Hauptman-Woodward to maintain reliable access to their power supply while effectively managing the economic aspects of energy demands. This event will also include a Q&A session and networking opportunities. Join us on the 27th for a unique chance to witness a local example of adaptation and resilience in response to climate change.
