Energy Treasure Hunt Show & Tell

March 26, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Learn about the energy treasure hunt recently conducted at our local water resource recovery facility. Joe Fiegl, P.E., Deputy Commissioner of the Erie County Division of Sewerage Management, will give a short presentation on the project which was supported by NYSERDA’s Strategic Energy Management program. After the presentation, there will be a one hour guided tour of the facility.

This is a great opportunity for sustainability professionals to tour a wastewater treatment facility and network with their peers and like minded colleagues.

Hundreds of organizations have used Energy Treasure Hunts to reduce their facilities’ energy use by 7 to 15 percent. An Energy Treasure Hunt engages employees in identifying low-cost energy savings opportunities from behavioral, operational, and maintenance actions. NYSERDA’s program and other energy management programs have helped local businesses of all sizes – from GM to the Buffalo Zoo to local restaurants.

Join us to learn about the energy treasure hunt process and how it can be applied to your business. Pre-registration is required. Limited to 25 people. We hope to see you there!
