It has been a challenging year indeed, solidifying the importance of collaboration and strong relationships to help us get through difficult times.
Each December, SBR’s members, sponsors, allies, and friends merrily celebrate the holidays, the lessons learned from the year behind us, and what lies ahead for the WNY sustainable business community. This year it will look a little bit different, but we can still ensure you a high spirit of comradeship, enthusiasm, and devotion to our common cause!
Let’s get together virtually to celebrate and explore future ways of collaborating. Enjoy drinks while exploring connections within our local, place-based community united by SBR’s 4 keywords: invest, connect, learn & recognize.
Get in the right grove by:
Preparing your ecofriendly ugly sweater. Either hunt through the racks at your local thrift store or vintage shop. The other – perhaps the best – option, is to make your own. It’s an easy way to recycle items from around the house and you will end up with a one-of-a-kind work of art!
Preparing your cocktail to go kit – delivered to your door or picked up in East Aurora. A 32 oz “Painkiller” in a reusable jar. Ingredients: rum, fresh-squeezed orange juice, pineapple, coconut ($20 value).
You can expect some good laughs (and maybe some deep sighs at times). You can also expect a couple of informal polls as we kick off the holiday cocktail hour, and to be sent away at times to a few different areas within our virtual bar. We will have breakout groups for everyone: the ones on The Naughty List, The Holy Rollers, The Roasting Chestnuts, Santa’s Helpers, Silent Knights, The Mulled Wine Enthusiasts and more. The different rooms – with a handful of Zoom goers in each – will be moderated by SBR Board Members.
There will also be joint discussions among all attendees between the breakout sessions, and also at the end of the hour. Join the fun! The most creative ugly sweater – as decided by our jury of experts on the topic – wins an Autographed Buffalo Bills Jersey!
