New York State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) was enacted in 2019, establishing aggressive targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting renewable energy, and fostering environmental justice. Recognized as one of the most ambitious climate laws in the United States, it is crucial for New York businesses to have accurate information on the progress of the CLCPA to date and its ongoing impact. Merideth Andreucci, the Assistant Director of Economic Development at NYSERDA, will offer a comprehensive update on the CLCPA during the event and address attendees’ questions at this virtual session on January 24th, 2023 at 12 PM.
Based in NYSERDA’s Buffalo office, Merideth provides a broad range of economic development, external partnership-building, and business development for NYSERDA. She works closely with the state and regional economic development stakeholders to develop and promote NY’s position as a premier location for clean energy manufacturing. Prior to joining NYSERDA, Merideth held business and economic development positions at Rochester Institute of Technology’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability and Empire State Development with a focus on advanced and sustainable manufacturing. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany and a master’s degree in environmental management and policy from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
