Tour of Massachusetts Avenue Project

August 10, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us on August 10th for the second education event of the Summer Semester as we continue our discussion on food equity. SBR is excited to take you on a tour of the Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) – a nonprofit food hub and urban farm that passionately advocates for food equity and accessibility by connecting communities to fresh, locally sourced food.

During this event, you’ll explore MAP’s one-acre urban farm and discover more about their 13 city-wide Mobile Market sites, that bring healthy food options to underserved neighborhoods. We’ll also learn about MAP’s youth employment and training program, explore their shared-use commercial kitchen that supports local small businesses, and hear more about their community education initiatives.

We look forward to learning more about MAP’s mission to nurture the growth of a diverse and equitable local food system and empower youth through social change and education.

When: Thursday, August 10th, 5:30 – 7:30 pm

Where: 387 Massachusetts Ave, Buffalo, NY 14213
